New voices will foster the already-established roster of mentors to enhance the innovation capabilities of the Europe’s Next Wave of Music Tech experts

Milan, 5th September, 24 Music Tech Europe Academy announces the opening of its application process for the second edition of its acceleration programme, to support forward-thinking European startups, SMEs and projects within the music technology sector. This opportunity offers access to top-tier resources, mentorship and networking, fostering synergies between participants and investors, through a flexible training scheme through online mentorship and in-site workshops.

Following a successful first round, the 2024 programme at Music Tech Europe Academy will support 10 startups to grow their businesses. This year, the programme will cover topics like music and AI, ESG strategies, Music Licensing, PR and Communication, budgeting and sales. Key partners include Universal Music Group, Music Ally, HEMI, and LIFT99, INNOVATHENS, Music Tech Europe and Orfium. Over a 28-week period, the initiative will offer customised workshops and Ask Me Anything Sessions, alongside personalised one2one mentoring from experts in the entertainment and advanced technology industry.

This year, Music Tech Europe Academy expands its mentor roster such as Amelie Briden, Innovation Manager at BPI, the voice of UK recorded music, where, amongst other things, she manages a growing global community of tech innovators; and Becky Brook,Music/Tech Advisor who specialises in industry engagement and bridging the gap between music and technology. Together, these mentors will guide Europe’s next wave of music tech innovators, with a strong emphasis on promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry. The programme begins in November with a gathering in Milan at the Linecheck Music Meeting and Festival, between the 18th and the 23rd November. Participants will have the chance to attend events, panels, and networking sessions. The programme culminates with a pitch session to key stakeholders and clients at Sónar in Barcelona, between the 12th to 14th June, where each participant can present their ideas to partners and investors.
