CP Cases share 5 essential things to prepare for IBC
IBC has always been a focal exhibition for CP Cases. We have attended every year for as long as we
can remember, and it came quite a shock to not be there in physical form last year. But not to worry
as it is back this year…back to its original dates in September & back on-hand to showcase the
technology of tomorrow. Running from the 9 th -12 th September in the RAI, Amsterdam.
IBC is the world’s most influential media, entertainment and technology show, hosting the big
players in their field all the way to the SME’s. With such a varied selection of companies and
products on display, the event should be as magical as ever – even with a reduced footfall. We will
be there exhibiting our full range of broadcast specific products from HD and 4K camera covers to
19” rackmount enclosures and more.
The preparation for this type of event starts months before hand. IBC is such a massive milestone in
our calendar, and with many different products on offer, keeping current is the most important
strategy. CP Cases Ltd follows these essential steps to grab people’s attention on the lead up to the
event and whilst exhibiting: –
PLAN AHEAD
Planning ahead is always top of the list when in the lead up to an event – IBC’s Showcase is no
different. The preparation and building of your profile need planning. We needed to give ourselves a
good amount of time to film our promotional video, and schedule our email campaigns; promoting
awareness of our presence at the event but also snippets of broadcast related stories of projects
that are going through the factory. Building a buzz around the event and tying that in with relevant
content really does help you keep front of mind with potential prospects.
IBC have created an Exhibitor’s Checklist to tick off mandatory tasks one-by-one to make sure that
you have made the most of your profile which is a helpful tool. With that in mind, it is always good
to check out the IBC Showcase Programmes page to see what other Exhibitors are up to. There is
also innovative content to read from the IBC owners prepping us for the main event aswell.
GET SOCIAL
We weren’t there in physical form last year, and with a virtual option this year, digital user journeys
needed to be built into our strategy; staying updated with the show-goers and virtual attendees.
Social media is the new going out. Long debates, sharing our thoughts, starting conversations, and
even just reading up on people’s thoughts is a great way to keep engaged with the virtual visitors.
You can also interact with the speakers and panellists – a wealth of talent at your fingertips.
The IBC Showcase and IBC365 also has a lot of information about what’s going on with regular
updates, reviews of sessions and the latest product news and launches; which helps keep the
conversation going.
NEW CONTENT
It is always good practice to showcase ‘new’ when attending an event. Whether it be new content,
new brochures or more importantly new products. The IBC Showcase is a perfect opportunity to
reveal a different aspect of CP Cases that hasn’t really been explored.
From our perspective, this includes our Printing Machine and heat transferring capabilities. Holding
all of our manufacturing stages in-house helps us cut down on lead time. This is definitely a feature
that separates us from our competitors and is a perfect entity to shout about at IBC.
We will also be confirming new products that our engineers have been hard at work developing.
Including our Waterproof Camera Covers – perfect for OB Broadcasting companies. Our new
innovative design to our ERack collection – the ERV3. And more sizes have been added to our 19”
portable SatRack range which is rated IP55 (definitely worth shouting about too). For more
information on our new sizes and products, visit our website or contact a member of our team on
+44 (0)20 8568 1881 or [email protected].
BE CREATIVE
IBC this year (like every year) is a great opportunity to demonstrate what we can do digitally and
how we can separate ourselves from our competitors. Through videos, images and descriptive
content we are able to display our new products and the ethos of CP Cases through this more
creative medium.
The Broadcast industry predominantly have brighter coloured kit and covers to make the brand
more recognisable. This works well for us as we have been able to display these different features
bigger and brighter than before. Differentiating yourself by whatever means possible should be top
on your market strategy; especially in this time where the market is becoming more saturated.
BE PERSONAL
The tenet that separates us from our competitors is our consistency and ability to provide mostly
bespoke products. Customisation is becoming more and more widespread but here at CP Cases we
have been doing this for years – ahead of the curve it would seem.
We have taken a personal approach with our marketing efforts aswell which is always a great
approach if you want to grasp better engagement. As IBC is such a momentous event in our
calendar, we want to make sure we are targeting the people we are used to seeing year on year
through our campaigns. Sending snippets of content that is relevant to a customer or prospect goes
a long way. It shows that you understand their needs and keeps you front of mind aswell; a win-win
situation. We want to continue our company ethos through our marketing activity as well as through
our physical stand.
FINAL NOTE
CP Cases will be situated in Hall 10, stand A44. We will be on hand with case industry experts
available to discuss how crucial broadcast equipment can be housed in bespoke protective
enclosures.
Visit our exhibition stand to see our display of protective solutions for transit and storage of
broadcast industry essentials. Our Export Development Director, Chris Gers and Design & Product
Development Director, Brian Allen will both be back, and this time joined by our new Graduate
Technical Sales Engineer, Fabien Vijenthiran and our Head of Marketing & Communication, Laura Poole on hand to discuss any specific requirements in detail.
We can’t wait to be back at IBC, seeing familiar faces, catching up with what is happening in the
industry and creating more opportunities for CP Cases to increase our stance within this sector.
